Absolutely! Just because foods like avocados, peanut butter, and dark chocolate (just to name a few) are considered to be “healthy” does not mean they will automatically help you lose weight. Yes, it is important to still eat healthy foods but portions still matter. You still gain weight by eating more calories than you burn whether it is healthy or not! Now does this mean you should go start eating foods that are unhealthy? Absolutely not. Eating quality, healthy foods will give you the best chance to lose weight and feel energized day in and day out. Unhealthy foods while not weight loss killers do have the ability to make you feel sluggish and destroy your overall health which can lead to serious diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer and more. All in all, keep eating healthy and make sure you monitor your portions regardless of what it is you are eating!
